PXG Drivers
Range Overview
The Lightning Max 10K+ is PXG's most forgiving driver. Biggest sweet spot, highest MOI. If you just want the ball to go straight more often, that's your club.
The Max Lite gives you the same tech in a lighter build, which helps if you've got a slower tempo. Tour players usually go for the Lightning Tour instead. Smaller head, lower spin, proper workability. The Tour Mid splits the difference between forgiveness and control.
Black Ops 0311 drivers come in three versions (standard, Tour, and Ultra Lite) with moveable weights you can shift around depending on swing speed and what kind of ball flight you're after.
The Secret Weapon Mini Driver is properly different. It's a 275cc head, so much smaller than a normal driver, which makes it easier to find the middle. But it still goes further than a 3-wood, and you can actually hit it off the deck or from tight lies, which most drivers won't let you do.
Why Evolution Golf
We're authorised PXG dealers, so we've got access to all the custom shaft options and adjustability sleeves that actually make these drivers perform for your specific swing.
Book a custom fitting session at our Ringwood store and we'll test different Lightning and Black Ops setups on the launch monitor until we nail your spin and launch window.
Free shipping on all new PXG drivers across the UK. And our returns policy gives you enough time to test it on the course, not just bash balls on the range.
FAQ
Which PXG driver is most forgiving?
Lightning Max 10K+ has the biggest face and highest MOI in the range. It's the most stable when you miss the centre. If you need a lighter swingweight to pick up some clubhead speed, the Max Lite gives you the same forgiveness in an easier package to swing.
What's the difference between Lightning and Black Ops drivers?
Lightning drivers are all about ball speed. Precision weighting, thin face tech, designed to maximise distance. Black Ops models focus on adjustability instead. You get moveable weights that let you dial in draw bias, fade bias, or keep it neutral. So Black Ops suits you if you like tinkering with ball flight. Lightning suits you if you just want the best performance dialled in once through proper custom fitting.
Is the Secret Weapon Mini Driver actually useful?
Yeah, genuinely. Especially if your consistency off the tee isn't great, or you want something reliable on tight holes. The smaller head is way easier to control than a standard driver. And because it's still built on driver lofts and shaft length, you're not giving up much distance. Plenty of players use it instead of a 3-wood because it works better from the tee and the turf.
