Wilson Wedges
Range Overview
The Staff Model ZM wedges are Wilson's current performance offering, designed with feedback from tour players who need versatility across different lies and conditions. You can buy them individually or save with the three-wedge bundle set, which gives you a properly gapped short game setup.
The High Toe variant shifts weight higher in the face for better control on open-face shots. If you're the type who loves playing creative shots around the green, you'll appreciate what that does for your touch on flops and lobs. The standard ZM suits players who prefer a more traditional teardrop profile and tend to keep things simpler with their short game.
We also stock the TW9 Tour Milled wedge, which features deeper grooves and a slightly more compact head shape that some golfers find easier to manipulate. The head size makes a bigger difference than people realise, especially if you've got smaller hands or just like seeing less metal behind the ball.
For those exploring options, we carry select pre-owned models like the Maxfli Revolution sand wedge fitted with a Dynamic Gold shaft. All Wilson wedges in our range come with stock shaft options, though custom builds are available through our fitting service.
Why Evolution Golf
We're authorised Wilson stockists, which means you're getting genuine UK spec clubs with full manufacturer warranty. Visit our store in Ringwood to try different grinds on our practice area, or book a proper custom wedge fitting session where we'll look at your attack angle, turf interaction, and typical short game scenarios.
We stock left handed options and can usually get less common loft configurations within a few days. Orders over fifty pounds ship free across the UK, and you've got 14 days to return anything that doesn't suit your game. Browse the full Wilson range if you're kitting out your whole bag.
Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between the Staff Model ZM and the High Toe version?
The High Toe moves the centre of gravity upward, which helps on flop shots and any time you're opening the face significantly. If you rarely play those shots and prefer a more neutral setup for standard pitches and chips, the standard ZM is the better choice. Both use the same groove technology and finish options.
Should I match my wedge shafts to my iron shafts?
Not necessarily. Many players use slightly heavier or stiffer wedge shafts for better control on shorter swings. The stock Dynamic Gold wedge flex in our TW9 model is a solid all-round option, but if you're particular about feel, we can fit you with alternatives during a custom session. We see plenty of golfers who play regular flex irons but prefer stiff in their wedges. It's more common than you'd think.
Can I buy individual wedges or do I need the bundle?
You can absolutely buy single wedges to fill specific gaps in your set. The bundle works out cheaper per club if you need a full pitching, gap, and lob wedge setup. That said, most golfers already have a pitching wedge from their iron set and just need a couple to complete their short game selection.
