PXG Fairway Woods
Range Overview
The Lightning fairway woods use a carbon crown to push weight low and deep, which translates to fast ball speeds with a high launch and forgiveness right across the face. If you need reliable distance from tight lies or fairway bunkers, this is your club.
The Lightning Tour takes the same core tech but wraps it in a slightly smaller head shape. Faster swingers tend to like it because it gives you a more penetrating flight and makes it easier to work the ball both ways.
For single-figure players, the Black Ops fairway offers a traditional pear-shaped profile with a lower centre of gravity and proper workability. It's the one you reach for when you need to flight the ball down or shape approaches into tucked pins. Each model comes in multiple lofts so you can complete your PXG fairway woods and driver setup.

FAQ
Which PXG fairway wood is most forgiving?
The standard Lightning fairway is your most forgiving option. Larger footprint, deep centre of gravity and perimeter weighting that stabilises off-centre strikes. It gets the ball airborne quickly and maintains ball speed even when you catch it slightly thin or towards the toe.
Should I choose a 3 wood or 5 wood?
A 3 wood typically offers 13 to 15 degrees of loft and suits players who generate decent clubhead speed or need maximum distance off the tee as a driver alternative. A 5 wood sits around 17 to 19 degrees, launches higher and is easier to hit from the fairway. Better choice if you struggle with low-lofted clubs or want a reliable long approach option.
Can I get custom shaft options for PXG fairway woods?
Yes. PXG offers an extensive shaft catalogue including premium options from Fujikura, Project X, Mitsubishi and more. During a fitting at our Ringwood store, we'll test different profiles to find the weight, flex and kick point that optimise your launch conditions and dispersion.
